Plumbing Courses Change Lives

Taking plumbing courses could be the best decision you make in life. I had no real qualifications before that and seemed to go from one job to another without any thought to my career, pensions or job satisfaction. To be honest I had never even thought about those things, as long as I got paid at the end of the week, I was happy.

At the time, I was doing a lot of bar work, the wages and hours were pretty bad, but the job did have its upsides. One evening one of my old mates from the sites came in, the last time I had seen him was towards the end of a fifteen hour session, so he did not look too good. Now, everything seemed to have changed, he wore a smart suit, was well kept and I could not notice how attractive his date was. The intervening years since I last saw him had been good to him, I could not help buy wonder what he was doing.

He recognised me before he got to the bar, he showed his usual cheerful smile and seemed genuinely happy to see me, I was certainly happy to see him, more than that I was interested in how and why he had changed so much. Perhaps he had got lucky on the lottery? Maybe a rich relative had died and he was spending the inheritance? You could have knocked me off my stool when he said it was all down to plumbing courses!

You see, my mate used to be the same as me, no real direction in life and due to our lack of formal education it was extremely hard to break out of the rut we found ourselves in. That's when my friend first heard about how in demand plumbers are and how there was a lack of them in this country. He'd never really thought about becoming a plumber before, yet he was good with his hands and had a good basic understanding already, so he started to explore the different plumbing courses that were available in his area.

He was in luck, his town had an adult learning centre that offered all of the different plumbing courses. He even managed to get a grant from the government to help pay for the course and help support him during his training. The plumbing courses are not easy, so my friend had to be focused and take them seriously, this was not a problem since he enjoyed the challenge and was looking forward to a new career once all the training had finished.

The very next day, I started to look for plumbing courses in my own area and within two weeks I was classroom bound, meeting new friends and learning about plumbing. My life was about to change, all thanks to my friend and some plumbing courses.
